Quran Contest for School Students Held in Turkey
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran competition was held for school students in the city of Mazidagi, Turkey’s province of Mardin, on Wednesday.
According to Turkish daily Milliyet the contenders competed in recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
A number of religious figures of the city were present at the venue of the competition, the report said.
One of the organizers said the contest was aimed at promoting Quranic activities among schools students.
He hoped that more such Quranic events will be held in the city and across Turkey.
Three top participants in the contest were awarded at the end of the dal-long Quranic event.
