New Qaris to Enter Egypt Quran Radio
TEHRAN (IQNA) – New Qaris will be added to the list of prominent Quran reciters of the Quran Radio in Egypt.
According to al-Watan News website, the radio has started accepting applications and holding specialized exams to select the best Qaris.
After final approval, those selected will join the radio to recite the Quran.
The move is aimed at encouraging and supporting young generation Qaris.
Quran reciters are very popular in the North African Arab country.
The Quran Radio is one of the most popular radio stations in the country.
Egypt has introduced some of the most prominent Quran reciters to the Muslim world.
They include Abdul Basit Abdus Samad, Mustafa Esmail, Sediq Minshawi and Shahat Anwar.
