Ankara to Host Forum about Martyr Motahhari
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Turkey will organize an academic forum titled “Islamic Intellectual, Mortaza Motahhari” on May 6.
According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the Theology Faculty of Ankara University will host the program, marking the 40th anniversary of the scholar’s martyrdom.
It will be attended by three professors of the university and two eminent Shia scholars of Turkey.
The philosophical thought of Motahhari, requirements of time in view of the martyr, Motahhari’s views on Islamic unity and the comprehensive knowledge of Mortaza Motahhari in different fields of science will be discussed in the forum.
A short documentary featuring the scholar’s biography will also be screened at the forum and some of the works of the martyr published in Turkish will be presented at an exhibition on the sidelines of the program.
