155000 Pak Muslims to Set foot on Holy Lands to Perform Haj Rituals

A total of 155,000 pilgrims Pakistan will perform Haj this year from, said Shahid Khan , director general of Haj at the Consulate General of Pakistan.
Some 13,000 pilgrims have been allowed to land at Madina airport, but all the pilgrims will depart from King Abdul Aziz Airport, Jeddah.

The first flight of Pakistan pilgrims from Peshawar landed at Jeddah Airport on Nov. 24. Pakistan Ambassador Admiral Shahid Karimullah (Rtd) and Consul General Masood Akhtar welcomed the pilgrims at the airport.

Pakistan Haj Mission has completed all arrangements for the stay of the pilgrims. It has taken on rent 347 buildings; their accommodation will be under the direct supervision of the Haj directorate. All these buildings are within the range of 1500 meters from the Haram Mosque. Some 22,600 workers will look after these buildings and arrange all amenities required by pilgrims.

A team of 260 doctors of different specialties along with 249 paramedical staff will extend medical services to the pilgrims. For this purpose the Haj Mission has divided Makkah in eight sectors. Each sector has a dispensary equipped with a small laboratory for pathological tests and necessary medical equipment to give full medical care to the ailing pilgrims.

The Haj mission has arranged 14 ambulances to pick up the sick and take them to the emergency ward of the Pakistan Hospital in Makkah.
