Tehran Municipality Holding 100 Programs in Muharram

-- On the occasion of Muharram, the first month on the Hijri calendar, and the anniversary of Imam Hussein’s (AS), Tehran municipality holds 100 different programs in its affiliated centers.

According to the municipality’s Art-cultural Organization, the programs include poetry reading, religious forums, lectures, calligraphy, painting and photography exhibitions and story reading sessions with the theme of Ashura.
There are also Taziyeh (religious epic theatre featuring the event of Ashura) held in different cultural centers across the city including Arasbaran, Ferdows, Shafagh, and Razi.
The organization also plans to hold a book reading contest featuring books on Muharram and Ashura.
