Imam Hussein’s (AS) Martyrdom Mourned in Tatarstan
On the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), mourning ceremonies have been held by Iran Cultural Center in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the programs have been organized in cooperation with Iranian students and Muslim citizens in Tatarstan.
Iranian embassy in Kazan hosts the programs for the first decade of the month of Muharram.
The programs begin with congregational prayer, Ashura supplication and continue with speeches by Hojat-ol-Islam Bakhtavar, Iranian preacher dispatched to Tatarstan on the occasion.
The programs are due to continue until the 12th night of the month and Iranians residing in Kazan will attend a mourning ceremony along with Shia Muslims of the city in one of the mosques in Kazan.
