Muharram Mourning Ceremonies in Thailand

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Cultural Center in Bangkok, Thailand holds mourning ceremonies during the first ten days of the lunar month of Muharram.
According to IQNA’s ICRO chapter, on the first day of Muharram, the ceremony was attended by Iranian ambassador to Bangkok Majid Bizmark and cultural attaché Jala Temleh.
After recitation of verses from the Quran, Seyfollahi, an elegy reciter read the Ziyarat Ashura and gave a speech about the month of Muharram.
He said this month is one in which all the followers of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) are sad.
He also pointed to the life of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) and said the great lady continued on the path of Imam Hussein (AS).
