6th Nat'l Quran Awards in South Africa

The South African Quran Union presents the 6th National Quran Awards.
The event will run over the period 21- 23 September 2012 at the Maitland Mosque, Cape Town.
There are two types of participation: National Quran recital competition and Servant of the Holy Quran Award.
National Quran recital competition- this category is divided in three age categories, namely: Category A (under 18), Category B (under 25), and Category C (26 years and over).
Participants will be evaluated in the areas of proper and correct recitation of Quran, voice control, and beautiful and melodious presentation. This section is for males only.
Servant of the Holy Quran Award- a special token of recognition to individuals in acknowledgement of their contribution in spreading or propagating the Qur’an in South Africa.
The National Quran Awards every year happens in South Africa in order to encourage people to read Quran and to spread the Quranic teachings in the society.
