Thai Muslims Protest Anti-Islam Film

Hundreds of Thai Muslims gathered outside the US embassy in Bangkok to protest against a blasphemous anti-Islam film produced by an Israeli-American in the United States.

Anti-US demonstrators took to the streets in the capital on Tuesday, chanting slogans against the US and Israel.
They also held signs reading “we love Muhammad” and “stop offending our religion.”
The peaceful protest was organized by a group called the International al-Quds Federation of Thailand.
This comes after the United States said it would close its embassy in downtown Bangkok over the unrest resulting from the insulting movie trailer released last week.
The US Embassy also released a statement warning American citizens to avoid areas where protests may be held.
Outrage and anti-US sentiment are growing across the Muslim world over the controversial movie that insults Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Over a dozen people have already been killed in protests since the release of the film.
In Libya, angry protesters attacked the US consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi last week and set fire to the consulate building, while gunmen and security forces clashed.
The violence led to the killing of the US Ambassador Chris Stevens, two former Navy SEALs and a State Department worker.
