“Imam Hussein (AS)” Int’l Forum Planned in Istanbul

Largest Turkish city of Istanbul is scheduled to host “Imam Hussein (AS)” international forum on November 17 and 18.
According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, the program will be organized in cooperation with Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly and Organization of Iraq’ Holy Sites in a bid to convey the message of Muslims's unity and brotherhood to the world.
It will be held with the participation of Seyyed Ahmad Safi, representative of grand Ayatollah Sistani, Shia source of emulation in Karbala, Mohammad Gormez, head of Turkey’s Dianat (Religious Affairs) Organization, university lecturers from Tehran, Baghdad, Kufa and holy city of Najaf, religious leaders and directors of international institutes as well as scholars and intellectuals from Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Britain, Germany, Spain, France, Indonesia, Russia and Georgia.
Parvin Ahmadinezhad will address the program presenting a speech on status of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) in Karbala and the role of women in conveying the message of the event.
The forum will be aired live via Turkish and Arabic TV channels.
Fatih Municipality in Istanbul has also planned “Muharram Exhibition” on the sidelines of the forum.
Muharram and Ashura symbols will be put on display at the exhibition at Sultan Ahmad Square of the city for one week.
