Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) Conference Held in Rawalpindi

Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) Conference in connection with Muharram-ul-Harram was organized by Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Saturday.
The conference was presided over by Dr Azmat Ullah Sultan, Chairman Anjuman Almi Tehreeq Panjtan Pak, while Muhammad Akbari, Director General Khana Farhang Iran, Central President National Peace Committee Allama Ayaz Zaheer Hashmi, PPP leader Bibi Jan and Dr Ghazanfer Mehdi participated as guests of honor.
RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed, Ulema of different schools of thought and intellectuals, a large number of citizens and notables of twin cities also attended the conference.
Addressing the conference, Allama Ayaz Zaheer Hashmi, said that one should fight with evil elements by following in the footsteps of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and seek guidance from incident of Karbala.
Muhammad Akbari said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), who upheld dignity of Islam by making unprecedented sacrifices along with his companions in Kabala, became a symbol of virtue while Yazeed emerged as representative of vice.
Dr Azmat Ullah Sultan in his presidential address paid glowing tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and said, “We should remain steadfast against evil forces. We should make all possible efforts to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state by acting upon mission of the Karbala martyrs.
The conference was also addressed by PPP leader Bibi Jan, Dr Ghazanfer Mehdi and other notable scholars.
