According to IQNA’s branch in Africa, Ramadan Ammar, lecturer of Al-Mustafa International University’s branch in South Africa said that officials and members of religious centers in Soweto, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Karangua and other Shia regions of the country attended a meeting at Islamic Center of Pretoria to discuss organization of the mourning ceremonies.
Islamic centers such as Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Center in Cape Town, Islamic center of Gugulethu, Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque, Pakistani Shia Muslims Center and Husseiniyah in Johannesburg, Islamic Center of Africa, Al-Mustafa Mosque and Islamic Center of Karangua will host the programs during the month.
Speeches on Seerah of Imam Hussein (AS) and Ashura uprising will be presented at the centers by scholars and intellectuals of the country.
Special programs have also been planned to be held by the Iranians residing in South Africa.
