Zahra Naqizadeh, executive secretary of the competition said that November 21 was the deadline for submitting papers.
She added that evaluation of the 250 works is underway by Quran experts and supervisors of the competition.
The research category of the international event will include two seminars titled “Islamic Unity” and “Methodology of Interdisciplinary Quranic Studies”.
The seminars will be held on January 2 and 3, 2015 at Milad Tower in Tehran.
The fifth edition of the International Holy Quran Competition for Muslim Students will be inaugurated in a ceremony on January 2.
According to Naqizadeh, this edition of the competition will be held in three categories: memorization and recitation of the Quran and Quranic research.
The competition is held every two years by the Iranian Academics' Quranic Activities Organization.
