Islam-Christianity Dialogue in Poland

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A seminar on “Islam-Christianity Dialogue” has been underway since December 7 in cooperation with Wroclaw University in Poland.


According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, a delegation from Al-Murtaza University in the holy city of Qom has cooperated in the organization of the program.
The five-day seminar is attended by Polish university lecturers and students as well as 15 researchers and preachers of Al-Murtaza University.
Ahmad Zadhush, president of the Iranian university, was among the scholars who addressed the seminar.
The University of Wroclaw is a public research university located in Wroclaw, Poland. Founded in 1702, it is one of the oldest collegiate-level institutions of higher education in Central Europe with around 30,000 students (2012).
Currently, the total number of Muslims in Poland is estimated at 31,000, of whom 5,000 are of Tatar extraction, plus 25,000 made up of immigrants and students, while another 1,000 are indigenous Polish people who had accepted Islam.
