Imam Musa Sadr Taught Us How to Confront Zionist Enemy
Addressing a ceremony held in Beirut to mark the 37th anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Musa Sadr, Berri said “Sadr also made us aware about the hidden Fitna (sedition) in the Muslim world”.
Imam Musa Sadr and his two companions Mohammed Yaqoub and Abbas Badreddin were kidnapped in August 1978 during an official visit to the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
Sadr was scheduled to meet with officials from the government of the Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
The three were never seen or heard from again and their fate is still unknown even after the overthrow of Gaddafi regime in 2011.
Referring to measures taken by Lebanon about Sadr’s fate , Berri said efforts have been made in that regard and a special committee has been set up to pursue the fate of Sadr and his companions.
He went on to say that the Lebanese people hope that Sadr, Yaqoub and Badreddin will be released and return to Lebanon soon.
