“Quran Competition Judgment” Course Held in Qatif

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An educational course on the judgment of Quran competitions was organized for women in Qatif, a Shia-dominated province in Saudi Arabia.


According to juhaina.net, the "Qatif and Dammam Joint Quranic Council” held the course, which was taught by Najla Ahmad Ali, a Quran teacher with Al-Dhikr Al-Hakeem Quran Association in Bahrain.

It was attended by representatives of Al-Ahsa Quranic Council as well as 80 members of different Quranic committees of the region.

The Bayt-ul-Quran Center in Umm Al-Hamam village of Qatif hosted the three-day course.

The participants learned about the technical features and methods of evaluation and judgement in Quran competitions.

The objectives of holding Quran competitions, the importance of paying attention to Quran memorization, Tajweed and interpretation and encouraging the youth to get familiar with the Divine Book were some of the themes of the course.

The instructor also discussed the methods of getting the Quran memorizers and Qaris of the region ready to participate in Quran competitions, different Quran recitation styles, Tajweed principles and Quranic sciences.
