World’s Smallest Handwritten Quran in Yemen
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The smallest manuscript copy of Islam’s Holy Book is said to be in Yemen.
The copy measures 4.1 centimeters in length and dates back to more than 3 centuries ago, according to al-Misrawi news website.
Head of Yemen’s Center for Manuscripts and Preservation of Cultural Heritage says it is not clear who has written the copy and what region in Yemen it belongs to.
It contains unique decorations and natural colors that captivate the eye.
The passing of time, though, has taken its toll on the copy and it needs to be restored.
