TEHRAN (IQNA) – Monday marked Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice which marks the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage and is celebrated by Muslims all around the world.

Congregational Eid prayers were held Monday in different parts of the world, including at the Islamic Center of England in London and Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center in Stockholm, Sweden.

Hoajt-ol-Islam Mohammad Saeed Vaezi delivered the sermons at the Islamic Center of England.

He elaborated on the meaning of Eid and the responsibilities of Muslims during the auspicious occasion, including helping the poor.

The cleric also touched on last year’s disaster in Mina, near Mecca, during Hajj, in which hundreds of pilgrims lost their lives, and said the Saudi regime is to blame for the tragedy.
