520 Quran memorizers from the three countries took part in the competition, which is one of the largest in Europe, al-Jazeera.net website reported.
They competed in two categories: memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of half (15 Juzes) of the Holy Book.
The Tajamo Islami (Islamic assembly), the biggest Arabic-Islamic organization in Germany), organized the event.
A Syrian refugee currently living in Hamburg won the top title in memorization of the entire Quran.
According to Taha Amer, head of Germany’s Union of Scholars and Preachers, the message of the completion was paying more attention to memorizing and contemplating the Book of God and raising a generation based upon Quranic teachings who can be ambassadors of peace in their society.
Germany has the largest Muslim population in Western Europe after France.
Approximately 5 million Muslims live in the European country, most of them being of Turkish origin.
