The course is for women and is being hosted by the branch of the Dar-ol-Quran center in the Southeast Asian country, the website of the Astan reported.
30 women from different parts of Indonesia as well as Singapore have taken the course.
Montazir al-Mansouri, a memorizer of the entire Quran from Iraq and an official with the center, said the course will run for 20 days.
He said the lessons presented include Tajweed principles and methods of memorization of the Quran.
Al-Mansouri added that the participants have been selected from university students as well as Quranic institutes.
He went on to say that the participants will receive certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
In recent years, the Dar-ol-Quran center of the Astan has been active in holding various Quranic programs both in Iraq and abroad.
