TEHRAN (IQNA) – A seminar on French Islamophobia is slated to be held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, on Tuesday.

Cairo to Host Seminar on Islamophobia in France

Titled "Islamophobia in France: New Face of Racism”, it will be organized by the Dall Media Research Center, affiliated to the Mumenun Bila Hudud Institute, al-Bawaba news reported.

Mumenun Bila Hudud is a research institute founded in 2013. Its headquarters is in Rabat, Morocco.

The participants in the seminar will discuss the term Islamophobia that has become a common term in European societies in the past two decades.

They will also talk about the recent surge in Islamophobia in France and other Western countries.

There are an estimated five million Muslims, mostly from North Africa, living in France, which ranks first for the number of Muslims in the European countries.

In the past few years, and especially after a number of terrorist attacks carried out by Takfiri groups like Daesh (ISIL) in France, the number of Islamophobic and anti-Muslim incidents has significantly risen in the country.
