"They want their voice heard," said Shehdia Qaci.
Voices that want others to be aware of attacks against Muslim women who wear hijabs. Qaci said there are many misconceptions surrounding the head scarves.
"It's not forced upon anyone. It's their own free will. It doesn't stop you from going out, it doesn't stop you from working, doesn't stop you seeking education. You can go anywhere in the world," said Qaci.
"The United States is an immigrant nation, a nation of all kinds of people and we need to respect that and support that and that's why I'm here today," said Tom Ulrich.
Ulrich is a member of the Unitarian Universal Church in Bethlehem. He said it's extremely important to support the values and solidarity of Muslim women.
