Quran Competition Held for Iranians in Malaysia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A competition on Quranic concepts was organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during the Ten-Days of Dawn celebrations marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution’s victory.

According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the Scientific Counsellor of Iran and the Union of Students’ Islamic Associations in East Asia cooperated in holding the competition.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the Quranic event, Ali Mohammad Sabeqi, the Iranian cultural attaché in Malaysia, talked about the features of the Islamic Revolution and highlighted its influence at the international level.

He said that on February 10, millions of Iranians took to the streets across the country to celebrate the 38th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution that overthrew the Pahlavi regime and set the stage for the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He noted that the Iranian younger generation believes in the values of the Islamic Revolution and support its objectives.

The first to the third-rank winners of the Quran competition were awarded at the end of the ceremony.
