Following a letter for Western youths by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in which the Leader called on the youth in the West to learn about Islam for themselves, instead of looking at it through what the media portray, the center decided to help Swiss youths learn about the religion.
Since they started in January, the classes, held in the form of video-conference, have been received well by the youth.
Scholars of al-Mustafa International University who are fluent in German cooperate in the program and answer questions about Islam raised by the youth.
Ayatollah Khamenei in November 2016 sent a second letter in less than a year to the youth in Western countries, following a series of terrorist attacks in France.
In the letter, Ayatollah Khamenei called on Western youth "to lay the foundations for a correct and honorable interaction with the Islamic world based on correct understanding, deep insight and lessons learned from horrible experiences.”
