Quran Competition for Academics Underway in Lebanon
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The seventh Quran competition for academics in Lebanon began on Monday.
The competition, named after Martyr Sayyed Abbas Mousawi, is being held in the categories of recitation and memorization of the Holy Quran.
Lebanon’s Quran Guidance Society organizes the event in cooperation with Maaref Islamic-Cultural Association and Lebanon’s Islamic Resistance Movement.
It is aimed at promoting Quran memorization and learning among university students and scholars.
Sayyed Abbas Mousawi was the co-founder and secretary general of Hezbollah resistance movement.
He was assassinated by the Zionist regime of Israel on February 16, 1992.
