During the meeting, held at the organization, the two sides discussed cooperation in Quranic, religious, cultural, scientific and tourism fields.
Highlighting the capabilities and capacities of the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Science and Research (ACECR), of which the Academics Quranic Activities Organization is an affiliate, Saber Farzam voiced the center’s readiness for joint works in various areas such as tourism, medicine and industry.
Saber Farzam also referred to the activities of the International Quran News Agency (IQNA), affiliated to the IAQAO, saying it is the only news agency in Iran that disseminates news in 17 languages, including Russian.
Ivanov, for his part, hailed the growing ties between Iran and the Republic of Tatarstan and invited Saber Farzam to take part in a ceremony slated for May 20 in Kazan marking the anniversary of embracing Islam by Tatrastan’s people.
The Republic of Tatarstan is a Muslim-majority republic in southern Russia.
