According to Al-Ray newspaper, Wail Rabi’at, the Jordanian minister said that mosques will host the courses from July 1 to August 29.
The main objective of the two-month Quranic program is to help the participants make the best use of their summer holidays and encourage them to memorize the Holy Quran’s verses.
He added that the courses will result in dissemination of Islamic values and teachings, which invite to moderation.
The minister said the program will play an influential role in cultural promotion of the society in general, and teenagers in particular.
Rabi’at called upon Jordanian families to register their children in the program and said top participants will be selected to attend national and international Quran competitions.
He went on to say the courses are also part of efforts aiming to highlight the role of mosques in the society.
