Over 20% Rise in No of Int’l Quran Exhibiion Visitors

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The number of visitors to this year’s edition of the Tehran International Quran Exhibition rose by over 20 percent compared the number last year, an official said.

The international Quran expo kicked off on the third day of the holy month of Ramadan (May 29) and concluded on Friday.

The Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) hosted the Muslim world’s largest Quranic event.

Karim Dolati, the cultural deputy of the Mosalla, told IQNA that while the total number of the expo’s visitors has not been determined yet, it is likely to have increased between 20 to 30 percent compared to the number of those who visited the exhibition last year.

Elsewhere, he said the Mosalla officials attach special importance to hosting activities and programs like the Quran exhibition.

The Quranic event is annually held by the Iranian culture ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy in the holy month of Ramadan.

Showcasing the latest Quranic achievements and products aimed at developing the Quranic culture, the exhibition seeks to promote the Quran in society and help people get more aquatinted with the Hoمy Book.
