Mohammed Abdulrahim Sultan Alolama, head of the competitions unit and the studies and research unit, said they have opened the door for applications, KTimes reported.
"The organizing committee has received confirmation for participation in the competition from 20 countries.
The number is going to increase like the first edition which saw 57 competitors."
He said the UAE will be represented by a full Quran memorizer who will be an Emirati citizen, and not more than 25 years.
