Illiterate Omani Man a Memorizer of Entire Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An old Omani man who cannot read and write is a memorizer of the entire Quran.

Gharib bin Khamis bin Saudi al-Zakwani is now 88 years old.

_{He started memorizing the Quran at the age of 10 managed to learn the entire Holy Book by heart by 15.}

_{The illiterate man became the prayer leader at the mosque of his home village at the age of 26.}

_{"When I was ten, I started memorizing the Quran with Sheikh Rashid bin Himad al-Riyami. But, because back then there were no schools (in our village), I did not learn how to read and write,” he told Shabiba.com news website.}
