TEHRAN (IQNA) – A series of summer Quranic courses organized for women in the holy city of Najaf concluded in a ceremony on August 30.

According to Al-Kafeel website, the courses were held by the Women Quran Center affiliated to the Islamic-Human Teachings Section of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas’s (AS) holy shrine.

The ceremony began with Quran recitation and continued with praying for Iraqi martyrs.

Addressing the program, Seyyed Ahmad Al-Safi, the custodian of the holy shrine, congratulated Iraq on the victory of the Arab country’s army and popular forces against "Kufr and deviance”.

He thanked the families who encouraged their daughters to take the courses and called on them to spend more time on reading the Quran.

He also hailed the outcomes of the courses.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, an exhibition of Quranic calligraphy and other works was launched.
