Woman Arrested in Britain after Racially Abusing Muslims
Police confirmed a 43-year-old woman was in custody after they had made an appeal earlier in the day.
She was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.
A video showed a female passenger allegedly screaming at several Asian men, while driving outside Dewsbury Cemetery, in West Yorkshire, Friday.
The men had reportedly been paying respects to the dead as part of Eid rituals when the incident happened between 10am and noon.
Superintendent Roger Essell, of Kirklees District Police, said: ‘This was an incredibly distressing experience and our enquiries are very much underway to identify those involved.
‘The victims were understandably left shocked and upset following this incident.
‘We take a robust stance against any kind of racial abuse.’
