According to the panel of judges, Saeed Aminayi from Qom province came first in the category of Quran interpretation.
Seyed Mojtaba Jalilzadeh from Khorasan Razavi was the runner up and Saheb Sharifi from Khuzestan came third.
The top winners in Adhan (call to prayer) were Mohamamd Hassan Tofiqzadeh from Fars, Morteza Masoumi from Qom and Akbar Qanbarzadeh from East Azarbaijan.
In memorization of Hadith, Seyed Reza Kazemi, Seyed Mohsen Rouhani and Mehdi Karimirad came first to third, respectively.
They, along with winners of other categories will be awarded at the closing ceremony.
The final stage of the 40th edition of Iran’s national Quran competition kicked off in the northwestern city of Oroumiyeh on Saturday.
Some 900 Quran activists from 31 provinces of the country are attending the contest, which will run until September 15.
The annual Quranic event is held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the aim of identifying the country’s Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities.
