Toward Understanding of Quranic Teachings, Main Theme of Quranic Activities
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Culture Ministry’s Quranic programs in the next four years will be pursued with a focus on promotion of understanding the Quran, an official said.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati, the Quran and Etrat Deputy of the ministry, said that Quranic programs during the new administration’s term will be implemented with the main theme of "Toward Understanding of Quranic Teachings”.
He added that enhancing the country’s Quranic institutes and integrating their activities are also on the ministry’s agenda.
Routine activities like holding Quranic educational programs and organizing the annual international Quran exhibition will also continue in the next four years, the cleric noted.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani won a second term in May election and his cabinet ministers, including the minister of culture and Islamic guidance won the parliament’s vote of confidence in August.
