Egyptian Student Memorizes Quran in 3 Months

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A young Egyptian university student has managed to set a record by learning the entire Quran by heart in just three months.

According to al-Watan daily, Sharif Sayed Mustafa, an 18-year-old pharmacy student at al-Azhar University, started by studying the science of Tajweed.

He then turned to learning the Quran by heart and in a matter of three months managed to memorize the entire Holy Book.

Sharif has also memorized two Sunni books of Hadith, Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, in 40 days.

He is a speed reader and can read 100 pages in just 6 minutes.

The Holy Quran is the only religious Scripture that is memorized by its followers.

Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the Quran since the first day it was revealed.

The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses.
