Iran’s Speaker Calls for Serious Measures to Resolve Palestinian Issue
Addressing an emergency meeting of the Palestine Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of Islamic Countries, Larijani stressed that all Muslim countries should be vigilant against the Zionist regime of Israel.
Referring to the recent move by the US president to declare Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of the Zionist regime, the Iranian lawmaker said it was part of attempts to weaken the Muslim world by creating new mayhems and ensure security for the fake regime.
The US has sought to make regional countries preoccupied with forged crises so that the Tel Aviv regime can pursue its objectives against the Palestinian nation and other Islamic countries, he added.
Larijani further deplored some Muslim countries’ economic and political ties with Tel Aviv, saying these countries are expected to at least sever their relations with the Zionist regime.
The emergency meeting of the Palestine Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of Islamic Countries is underway in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
