TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony was held in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz on Tuesday to honor the top participants in an international fine arts festival of Muslim world youths.

The festival was held in three categories: short film, short story and calligraphy.

Young Muslims from various countries, including Denmark, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, the US, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Morocco, Nigeria and Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the cultural event.

In the first category, Sadeq al-Rahman from Bangladesh bagged the top prize.

In short story, Mirmahdi Agha Ughlu from Azerbaijan was the top winner and in calligraphy, the top prize went to Hatam Muhammad from Egypt.

Shiraz hosted the event as the city holds the title of the Muslim World Youth Capital in 2017.
