Speaking to IQNA, Azizollah Mortazavi, director of the Proofreading Department at the Dar-ol-Quran Kareem Organization, put the exact number of Quran copies printed in the country in the said period at 1.606 million.
He added that the number of the Qurans published in the same period a year before stood at 1.529 million.
The Dar-ol-Quran Kareem Organization is affiliated to Iran’s Islamic Development Organization.
It oversees Quranic activities and grants permissions for publication of the Quran in the country.
