Entitled “Quran and Islamic Tradition in Comparative Perspective”, it will be organized by the International Society of Biblical Literature (ISBL).
According to the society, it is slated for July 30-August 3, 2018.
Call for papers opened in October and will close on February 14, 2018.
Suggested topics might include, but are not limited to, the Quran and Islamic tradition in the wider context of the history of the Western monotheisms; Islam’s profound historical relationships with Judaism, Christianity, and the biblical heritage; and comparative inquiry and intercommunal dialogue more generally.
