Int’l Quran Contest for University Students Underway in Turkey

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international Quran recitation competition has been organized in Karabuk, Turkey, with the participation of Muslim university students from different countries.

  

According to Sabah newspaper, the preliminary stage of the competition began on April 11 and will conclude on April 15.

Besides Turkey’s Quran activists, 112 students representing Iraq, Jordan, Somalia, Lebanon, Morocco, Yemen, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Chad and Djibouti are present in the competition.

The final stage will be held on April 17.

In Turkey, the Diyanet (religious affairs) Organization is responsible for supervising Quranic and religious activities and programs, such as Quran contests.
