UAE Hosting ‘Best Tarteel Recitation’ Competition
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 12th edition of an international Quran competition in the UAE titled “The Best Tarteel Recitation” has been organized in Dubai.
According to Qaaf news agency, Ibrahim Bumilha, head of the organizing committee of Dubai Holy Quran Award, said that the first stage of the contest got underway on April 15.
This edition of the Quranic event is being held with the participation of 59 children under the age of 13, 111 teenagers and youths aged 13 to 25, 62 adults aged above 25, and 139 imams of mosques and preachers.
51 of the participants compete in the Adhan (call to prayers) category of the competition, he added.
The international Quran contest will continue until April 21 in Al-Mamraz locality in Dubai.
