Seyed Ali Akbar Shamsian, head of the Khorasan Razavi branch of the ACECR, told IQNA that the contestants are from 35 countries in three continents, namely Asia, Africa, and Europe.
He noted that Mashhad will host the international Quranic event on April 26-29.
According to the official, the ACECR, will organize the contest in cooperation with the Astan-e Quds Razavi, Mashhad Municipality, IQNA and Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
He said 6 Quran experts from Iran and four foreign Quranic figures will form the competition’s panel of judges.
The Iranian Academics’ Quranic Activities Organization, affiliated to the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), has organized the competition biannually since 2006 with the aim of promoting unity and cooperation among Muslim world students and elevating the level of Quranic activities.
