Top Quran Memorizers Awarded in UAE

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The winners of the 9th national Quran memorization competition in the United Arab Emirates were awarded in a ceremony earlier this week.

According to Al-Bayan newspaper, the competition was organized for Quran activists of Quranic centers, mosques, prisons and different institutes all over the country.

Mohammad Matar Al-Ka’bi, head of the UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, a number of directors and members of the office as well as the families of the Quran memorizers attended the awarding ceremony.

580 male and female participants competed in 11 categories at the 9^th edition of the national Quranic event.

The final stage of the competition was held with the participation of 295 Quran memorizers.
