Turkey Distributes 55000 Qurans in 17 Countries in Ramadan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Turkey's religious affairs department (Diyanet) has launched a plan to distribute 55000 copies of the Holy Quran in different languages in 17 countries during the holy month of Ramadan.

 

 According to turkeyalaan.net, Abdulrahman Chetin, deputy of Diyanet said that “Quran is my gift” is the title of the plan whose implementation started at the beginning of the holy month.

The copies include translations of the Quran into English, French, Turkish, Azeri, Spanish, Kazakh, Kurdish, Chewa, and Tamil along with the original Arabic text.

Seri Lanka, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, Haiti, Panama, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Nakhchivan, and Kenya are the countries which will receive the Quran copies.

The deputy added that holding Iftar ceremonies in 326 regions in 84 countries is another program of the organization in the holy month of Ramadan.
