‘History of Quran’ Published in Thai Language
According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the Iranian Cultural Center in Thailand cooperated in the publication of the work as part of the Top plan.
The plan is aimed at introducing and promoting Islamic and Iranian works as well as Persian literature in other languages and encouraging translators and publishers to publish translations of Persian works in other languages.
“The History of Quran” is a book in Persian written by Ayatollah Mohammad Hadi Marefat (1931-2007).
It features different issues related to the revelation, inscription and collection of the Quran.
One thousand copies of the Thai translation of the work have been published in Thailand.
Thai or Siamese is the national and official language of Thailand and the first language of the Central Thai people and vast majority Thai of Chinese origin.
