IDO Chairmanship Handover Ceremony

TEHRAN (IQNA) – In a ceremony held in Tehran on Tuesday, Hojat-ol-Islam Khamoushi left the Islamic Development Organization and Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Qomi replaced him as the new head of the organization.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani, head of the Leader’s office, was among those who attended the ceremony.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei appointed Hojat-ol-Islam Qomi as the head of the Islamic Development Organization earlier this month.

In a decree, the Leader appointed the new IDO chief and described the organization as one of the main outgrowths of the Islamic Revolution and hailed its services in the past four decades.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that presenting and promoting Islamic teachings and culture with an eye on the needs of the day and with the use of innovative methods is among the main missions of the IDO.
