Qatar’s Sheikh Jasim Quran Contest Slated for November 10

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 25th edition of the “Shiekh Jasim” Quran competition in Qatar will kick off in the Persian Gulf Arab country on November 10.

 

According to Al-Sharq website, the organizing committee of the Quranic event announced that some 1,600 Quran activists will participate in the competition.

The number of Qatari participants in this edition of the competition has raised compared with the previous editions, the committee said.

It also said that in the first stage of the contest, the participants residing in Qatar will compete on the memorization of the entire Quran in male and female groups.

The competition of the residents in Qatar on memorization of some parts of Quran will be held on November 17, and 20 in female group and 18 and 20 in male group.

The Qatari male residents of the country will participate in the second stage of the competition on memorization of the entire Quran on November 24 and 25.

The final stage will also be held separately for male and female groups respectively on November 26 and 27.
