Iran’s Azad University Holds Quran Competition

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The written section of the 24th Quran and Etrat competition of Iran’s Islamic Azad University was held in the universities branches across the country on Monday.

 

Students, professors and staff of the university participating in the contest took tests in different categories, including Quran interpretation, translation of the Quran, translation of Nahj-ul-Balaqa, Seerah of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and the life of the Holy prophet (PBUH).

Those who score the best in each category will make it to the next round.

The results of the first round’s tests will be announced in January.

The competition is annually held to promote the Quranic and Islamic culture among the students, scholars and staff.

The Islamic Azad University is a private university system in Iran and one of the largest comprehensive system of universities, colleges, and community colleges in the world.
