Iranian, Syrian Universities Sign Academic Agreement

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s University of Islamic Sects and Al-Sham University of Syria signed an agreement to develop collaborations in different academic fields.

According to the public relations office of the University of Islamic Sects, a delegation of Al-Sham University’s academics had a meeting with the chancellor of the Iranian university, Mohammad Hossein Mokhtari, in Tehran and penned the agreement during the meeting.

It was signed by Mokhtari and Yasir Houriyah, chancellor of the Syrian university, Iribnews reported.

The areas of collaboration include establishing a joint program on the study of proximity of the Islamic schools of thought, students and members of the scientific board exchange, publication of joint academic journals, and holding joint conferences.
