Return to True Islam Best Way to Resolve Muslim World Issues
Abdol Hadi Feqhizadeh made the remark in a ceremony held in India’s Hyderabad to launch Iran’s Quranic week in the city.
He added that it is necessary to return to Islam at a time when Muslims are facing numerous challenges.
Feqhizadeh also hailed the Iranian Quranic week in India and said such programs help to bring the two nations closer together.
Also addressing the ceremony was Hojat-ol-Islam Mehdi Mahdavipour, representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in India, who highlighted the deep-rooted cultural ties between Iran and India.
He also underlined the contribution of Indian Muslim scholars to Quranic sciences, saying they have written more than 50 Tafseers (interpretations) of the Quran.
The Quran Week involves different programs, including a seminar on “Indian and Iranian Quran Commentators (interpreters)” and an exhibition of Quran manuscripts and Quranic products.
There will also be Quran recitation sessions in different mosques with the participation of Iranian Qari Seyed Mostafa Hosseini.
Iranian Consul General in Hyderabad and the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization cooperate in holding the programs.
